Space Shared/Divided

Collaboration with Timo Aho

Space Shared/Divided consists of three lines of bright white light: two on the opposite watchtowers inside the Citadel of Salah Al-Din and a third one penetrating the Red Palace, a colonial British military office, suggesting a trajectory. The space itself and the time we live in significantly influenced the final shape of the installation. With its minimalistic form, the work deals with the tension between borders and spaces.
